Experience Zen as a Lifestyle, a path Toward Mindful Self-Care - 4 CE Credits
**Self-Care for Massage and Bodywork Therapists**
AS MASSAGE AND BODYWORK THERAPISTS, much of our energy is dedicated to the physical well-being of others. However, we often neglect our self-preservation. A healthy routine prevents stress, burnout, transference, countertransference, compassion fatigue, and chronic pain while caring for others.
With over 30 years of experience as a licensed counselor, mental health counselor, marriage and family therapist, and licensed massage and bodywork therapist in Greensboro, Jill White-Huffman has a knack for understanding others' needs. It’s easy to get sidetracked, leading to increased stress or burnout.
A consistent, healthy routine is essential for preventing internal disruptions caused by triggers, vulnerabilities, and barriers. These factors can affect our mind-body awareness and ability to experience the present moment fully.
To support healthcare professionals, caregivers, and others looking for effective self-care strategies, Jill created Experience Zen as a Lifestyle, a path Toward Mindful Self-Care, to help individuals feel calmer, more grounded, and balanced while caring for others.
Jill combines her Mindful Self-Care curriculum with Zen teachings to present "Experience Zen." She offers practical, easy-to-understand techniques for integrating regular meditative breathing exercises and therapeutic stretching workouts into daily routines, which can help manage stress and prevent burnout.
Mindful Self-Care is an essential practice that requires training our minds daily through healthy home self-care practices, similar to how we develop plans to condition our bodies. Remembering that you must take care of yourself before you can care for others is vital.
Any techniques, ideas, or suggestions provided are solely at the participant’s discretion and risk. This guidance does not replace the advice of a therapist or medical professional.
Cost includes a handout

Thai Hand & Foot Reflexology - 12 CE Credits with Jill White-Huffman
Thai Hand and Foot Reflexology extends from some of the world’s oldest traditional medicine practices and the focus is on encouraging the flow of energy throughout the entire body.
Note: Thai Hand and Foot Reflexology can be performed on a massage table or reclining chair. The client remains fully clothed during treatment. It is not used to diagnose medical conditions, nor does it replace a physician's opinion.
Thai Hand and Foot Reflexology is a natural, alternative therapy that significantly influences organs, glands, and body systems by restoring energy flow, balance, and harmony throughout the body.
The hands and feet are a complete body map, and each area corresponds to a different body part. Stimulating reflex points on the hands and feet alleviates excessive discomfort, stress, and fatigue while improving circulation, promoting relaxation, and reducing tension. It aids in eliminating waste from the body, stimulates the organs, oxygenates the tissues, and enhances mental clarity and an imbalance of energy. Many clients report feeling a sense of mental and physical well-being restored following the treatment.
The course will cover various techniques for working with reflex points, zones, and SEN lines to provide a comprehensive, holistic treatment for the whole body. Participants will learn practical methods for using their thumbs, knuckles, and palms to prevent burnout. Additionally, the course will explore effective ways to utilize tools, such as the massage stick, to promote overall body healing.
After completing the course, practitioners acquire the skills and confidence necessary to significantly improve their clients' well-being by manipulating and directing energy within the body. With regular practice, they can stimulate specific areas on their clients' arms, hands, lower legs, and feet to enhance the body's natural healing abilities.
What to Bring: A Table, Cream, Comfortable Clothing, Water to Drink, and a Pen or Pencil to take notes.
Cost includes handout and wooden tool

Thai Table Stretch Massage - 8 CE Credits with Jill White-Huffman
A Holistic Approach to Mind, Body, and Spirit Well-Being! This Thai Table Stretch Massage course teaches participants how to perform a variety of stretches and stretching positions.
The course covers a combination of techniques that promote overall well-being, including:
