HAMSTRINGS
The Hamstrings are made up of three muscles, and over-exertion or injury can sometimes cause one of them to tear or overstretch. Activities that involve a lot of jumping, running, starting, and stopping—such as basketball, football, and soccer—can put extra stress on these muscles. Runners and skaters also often face a higher risk. To help prevent hamstring strains, strengthening your gluteal muscles can be very beneficial. If you experience symptoms like bruising, tenderness, or sudden, sharp pain in the lower buttock or back of your thigh, it might be a hamstring strain, which can make walking painful. If you're dealing with this kind of pain, it’s a good idea to see your doctor. And if there are no serious medical issues, a gentle massage could offer some relief.
