MEET JILL WHITE-HUFFMAN
Hello! I'm Jill White-Huffman
I’ve been passionate about helping others since 1997. I’m a licensed massage and bodywork therapist with many years of experience. I also serve as an Approved Continuing Education provider through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), Provider No. 1000195. Since 2009, I’ve held a license as a clinical mental health counselor, and I’ve been practicing as a marriage and family therapist in Greensboro since 2010.
I'm a passionate massage therapist dedicated to providing personalized, effective care to each client. During my sessions, I combine structural, energetic, intuitive, and movement techniques to help you relax and enjoy a truly beneficial experience for both your body and mind. I focus on being fully present and aware of your nervous system throughout my therapy practice, guiding you toward greater movement and freedom. This creates a warm, inviting space that eases pain and stress, helping you find relief and balance while promoting deep relaxation and integration. My approach is carefully thought out, inspired by wellness principles, and tailored specifically to your needs, especially in addressing long-standing postural patterns.
More Info About Me: I am also an LCMHC, MFT
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With: A number of issues that my work focuses on include couples’ concerns and individual concerns as they relate to stress, anxiety, women’s and men's issues, emotional and binge eating, chronic pain, and grief and loss.
I have assisted numerous individuals and couples. My training includes specialized work in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps change self-critical, negative thoughts into healthier, more positive ones that boost self-esteem. I apply Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed practices to help manage emotions, stress, and relationships, supporting clients in feeling better while working toward meaningful change. I also use the Gottman Method Therapy, designed to support couples facing relationship challenges, especially when they feel lonely, isolated, or stuck in negative thought patterns that hinder conflict resolution. Its aim is to rebuild commitment, leading to a happier and more fulfilling partnership. Additionally, I employ Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples heal relational distress, strengthen their bonds, and enhance connection and intimacy. I am committed to providing evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs. I look forward to discovering how I can best support your journey.
